The Snow Must Go On!  (In other words, despite the blustery cold this weekend, we will still hold WinterFest’s indoor and outdoor events (including Saturday’s Winter Carnival and Sunday’s Ice Skating). Both venues have warming huts, so we encourage everyone to dress very warmly and take lots of indoor breaks!

Games, sledding, sleigh rides, snow golf, community booths and concessions. Dress warmly and take lots of breaks inside the warming hut.

This year’s festival features music, Santa, sleigh rides, great community booths and more fun! It will be held beginning at 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4.

Schedule of Events:

3:00-5:00 p.m. Decorate cookies at Reilly’s Bakery (free!)

5-6:30 p.m. Entertainment on the City Square Stage, including performances by the Academy of Dance’s The Nutcracker, Andrea Wollstadt’s Intermediate School Choir, and Dynasty Dance Center.

5:45 p.m. Santa arrives by sleigh to help light the tree

6:30- 8:00 p.m. Pictures with Santa at The Center for Parenting & Play, 11 Adams Street. And free sleigh rides!

The second annual RiverJam Festival will feature Maine’s top bands in two locations along the beautiful Saco River: Biddeford’s Mechanics Park from Noon-5:30, then right across Main Street on Saco Island from 7:45-10:30! The RiverJam Festival is part of the “Two Cities: One River” bridge dedication and celebration, showcasing the Biddeford + Saco region’s cultural and natural assets. Biddeford’s textile mill doors are open once more, with access to the unique underground canals! Biddeford Mills Museum Tours are guided by former mill workers who are passionate about Pepperell and know the history of these incredible buildings.

Historic Tours occur at 10 a.m. on Thursdays and Saturdays through October 10th. (Tours will not be held on July 4th due to the holiday.) Reservations required.
