All are welcome!
Date: Monday, June 9, 2025, 6-7:30 p.m.
Location: Heart of Biddeford, 205 Main Street, Suite 103, Biddeford, ME 04005. Available on Zoom by request.
Agenda: Checking in and taking the next steps together on Art Walk, Fringe Fest, The Foundry, new website, Biddeford’s Public Art Committee, and other projects.
Date: Friday, June 20, 2025, 5-8 p.m.
We had a blast at May’s Art Walk, with about a dozen open locations, artists around town, and five “satellite” locations with buskers and the “Placemat Project.” Along with new signage and pretty good maps, more participants really journeyed and truly walked the walk.
Businesses: Let us know you’ll be open and hosting an artist during the June Art Walk (or if you would like to be connected with an artist) at this link.
Artists: Let us know if you’d like to show in a business by signing up here.
We will contact and make connections between artists and businesses that sign up, and we will include you in promotion.
Everyone who wishes to find a spot on sidewalks is welcome to pick a spot of their choice, with special encouragement to set up at one of the satellite locations!

Due Date:
Biddeford’s Fringe Fest is a dynamic, free arts festival that kicks off the city’s annual River Jam weekend each August. Conceived of by Engine, the event is now organized by Art of Biddeford. The evening starts with Art Walk followed by a vibrant celebration in one location (to be determined) — with performances and the annual Pie Luck (a pot luck of pies).
Event Date: Friday, August 15, 2025
Time: 7-9 p.m. as a culmination of Art Walk that goes from 5-7 p.m.
Location: TBD, decided once the acts are chosen.
Hosted Performance Consideration:
The artistic content of Fringe Fest tends be surprising, iconoclastic, and liberating. Artists from all perspectives are encouraged to come share their work during the evening. Thanks to a grant provided by the Onion Foundation, AOB also has funding for five (5) Hosted Performances, with an average stipend of $400. Paid performers will be chosen by a panel of local artists who volunteer to select the winners.
Biddeford Art Walk is a free event where people can explore the arts in our community by walking through galleries, studios, shops, or public spaces that display artwork or host performances.

Artist vendors are invited to set up tables and tents on sidewalks throughout the downtown. Watch for news about pop-up sidewalk activities and buskers that will be placed at multiple locations (reaching along Alfred Street, Main Street, Lincoln Street, and Pearl Street). In some cases, business owners will have invited a particular artist to set up outside their business, so please watch for signage indicating a spot is reserved.
Make your way through the downtown to enjoy these galleries and performances! We hope you’ll visit an old favorite or new spot for dining, shopping, or enjoying a beverage while you’re exploring downtown Biddeford!
