Partners In Preservation:
Heart of Biddeford participated in the $150,000 Partners in Preservation campaign with a focus on sites that celebrate equity and social change. Each of the sites featured in the campaign played a role in the development of a more diverse nation. Heart of Biddeford and the City Hall Clock Tower were included in the list of 2018 grant winners!
This project is supported by a grant from the American Express Partners in Preservation program, a partnership of the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the American Express Foundation.

[/vc_column_text][vc_column_text]The following are photos showing the initial removal of the clock workings being taken apart for removal on March 28, 2019 by the Balzar Family Clockworks. The pieces will be brought to their workshop for repair.
The clock was removed piece by piece – besides a few big pieces, the bucket in the picture is what remained of the clock after they were done. A serial number of sorts was found on the clock that said “4016”. There might be a possibility that this might have been the 4016th clock that E. Howard & Co. had built.[/vc_column_text][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”5854″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”5855″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/3″][vc_single_image image=”5856″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”5853″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”5857″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”5858″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1/4″][vc_single_image image=”5859″ img_size=”medium”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row]
