1. Don Winterhalter,
-As Chair of Chair of HOB Design Committee: Fundraising calendar is being put together. People who want to submit photos can do so. Info on the HOB website. Deadline has been extended until Tuesday, Sept. 8.
-For his business Aptilite, Don makes LED lights, and 3D Printed lighting products. And will be going to his first tradeshow for this new company in November.
2. Brad Laverriere, media sales for Journal Tribune print
-Downtown businesses in Biddeford and Saco are encouraged to contact Brad at bradford.laverriere@gmail.com to be included in the upcoming ads this month.
-As a musician in the band Mill Town Refraction. Brad announced that he’ll playing at The Edge Bar, 61 Main Street, this Friday, Sept. 4 and on Sat., Sept. 19. His music is pop/rock/country covers from 80’s- today. Full band, or when they play as a duo it’s just acoustic guitar and violin instrumentals.
3. Justin Chenette, digital advertising exec at Journal Tribune
-Launching new website today
-Rebranding the paper in the coming weeks as well, with new publisher, Devin Hamilton.
-Converting to a new format for pay-to-read, which will be rolled out in the next month.
4. Marianne Clark, Chair of HOB’s Business Enhancement Committee
-Seeking additional members, particularly downtown business owners/employees
-Meets the first Wednesday of the month at 8 a.m. at HOB
-Discussing employee parking to encourage movement off Main Street.
5. David Flood,
-Caleb Johnson and David are paving the 14 Jefferson Street lot, and developing former Court House on Washington Street. Both projects coming along.

-October is Family History Month. Tonya Shevenell will have a presentation . Emily Schroeder will present about ancestry.com. Raoul will be there presenting about Franco genealogy. Maine Historical Society will be on site to get help in identifying people and places in photos.

10. UNE Involvement downtown
-HOB hosted 40 UNE Resident Advisors at the end of August. They came downtown and did a scavenger hunt to
-HOB coordinated a new program for businesses to have a decal in participating store windows: “UNE Welcome Here— Ask inside about our discounts.”
