December 6: Downtown Tree & Menorah Lighting, coordinated by Heart of Biddeford. Meet two real reindeer! Events in the afternoon at Reilly’s Bakery and McArthur Library. Then, stop by City Square (Adams Street, outside City Hall) to enjoy some holiday music, light the city’s menorah and tree, meet Santa and his reindeer, enjoy s’mores and cocoa, take a free horse/wagon ride and get your photo with Santa! FMI

December 7: Holiday Happenings: Shop Downtown Biddeford, coordinated by Heart of Biddeford, with support of numerous local businesses. Stop in to one of the participating retail businesses downtown to do some some sweet holiday shopping. Plus, be sure to drop your name/contact information off at EACH STORE where you shop!!  We’ll draw a winner for a $100 Buoy Local Gift Card on Monday, Dec. 9! Thank you, Bangor Savings Bank and their Buoy Local program for this generous sponsorship! FMI

November 24 – December 24: Elements Book Annex | Holiday Pop-Up at 227 Main, The Elements Book Annex is located this year at 227 Main Street in Biddeford, next to OAK POINT ASSOCIATES – Architecture • Engineering • Planning and across from Reilly’s Bakery and New Morning Market & Cafe. Stop by and browse our terrific selection of new, used, and remainder books; adult coloring books; children’s books; journals; and locally made specialty gift items. FMI

November 30: Small Business Saturday, coordinated by Amy Rose Handcrafted, stop by the Pepperell Mills from 9 a.m. – 7 p.m., in Building #13, right outside Tulu Salon.

December 3: YuP! YuP! Kids Holiday Cookies And Crafts, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m., Baby its cold outside! Come join us as we deck the halls at LaundrYuP! Stay warm with coffees, hot coco and warm food while young kids decorate cookies for free to enjoy and take home. Older kids and adults can do a fun holiday ornament. Open house with fun games and Christmas activities. FMI

December 6 – 15: It’s A Wonderful Life: Live From WVL Radio Theater, This 1940s “live broadcast” of Frank Capra’s beloved film takes us back to the Golden Age of Radio. George Bailey and all the residents of Bedford Falls, as you’ve never seen – or heard — them before in this fresh new adaptation of the film is set in the fictional studio of WVL Radio Theatre on a cold, snowy winter night. Due to the blizzard, the professional voice actors are unable to get through, but the show must go on — so a small but intrepid band of employees manage to create the dozens of movie characters and scenes using just their voices and a sound effects table. December 8: Confetti Bazaar 2019. A fun day of holiday shopping on Sunday, December 8th, 2019 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the upstairs event space in the Pepperell Mill Campus. This year they will host artist, vintage and food vendors, along with live entertainment all day long! FMI

December 10: Holiday Concert With the Biddeford Alumni Brass, 6:30 p.m., Join us for a holiday concert featuring traditional favorites played by the Biddeford Alumni Brass at our historic meetinghouse! Opening the evening, City Theater performs the vignette, “A Christmas Truce,” which tells the story of humanity and the grace of the season that took place during World War I. FMI

December 14:  Santa’s Youth Holiday Party, 6 – 7:30 p.m., FREE EVENT…NO REGISTRATION REQUIRED!!! Sled On Down To The Community Center And Join Biddeford Recreation For An Evening of Holiday Fun & Entertainment! All Children Must Be Accompanied By An Adult! Santa will be available for photos! FMI
