Our Story

Impact Fitness Center began on December 21, 2011, in Suite 118 of Building 18 at the North Dam Mill in Biddeford, Maine. What started as a small 1,700-square-foot fitness center with 12-foot ceilings quickly became something much bigger.

At the time, I took over an existing on-site gym that was in need of serious attention. But even then, I could see the potential — a true diamond in the rough. During the first few months, I replaced or refurbished most of the equipment, completed cosmetic upgrades, and installed new video and audio systems to create a better training experience.

Originally, IFC was designed as a private training facility where I could work with my personal training clients while also offering memberships to those who lived and worked on the Pepperell Mill Campus. Before long, word began spreading through social media and local referrals. Friends became members, those members told their friends, and the community steadily grew.

By December 2013, we had expanded to a team of three personal trainers performing nearly 60 personal training sessions per week. Membership had grown to 175 members, and we began preparing for our move into a new 6,500-square-foot facility with 20-foot ceilings in Building 13 of the Pepperell Mill Campus.

We proudly called the Pepperell Mill home for more than seven years. But as IFC continued to grow, it became clear that to fully realize our vision, we needed a larger and more advanced space.

After extensive planning, I decided to relocate to The Lincoln Hotel & Lofts, just steps away from our previous location. Every detail of our new 12,500-square-foot facility was thoughtfully designed with both aesthetics and functionality in mind.

• Expanded strength and cardio equipment
• A facility built for everyone from beginners to competitive athletes
