    Job Title: Dishwasher at Magnus On Water (Full-Time, Seasonal Ramp-Up)

    Location: Biddeford, Maine

    Schedule: Wednesday–Sunday (Full-Time)

    Compensation: Starting at $18/hour, with growth opportunities

    Overview

    We are hiring a reliable, high-efficiency Dishwasher to support operations during the high-volume late Spring and Summer season. This role is critical to maintaining kitchen flow, sanitation standards, and service speed during peak periods.

    This position is structured as an entry point into potential broader kitchen responsibilities for the right fit and candidate, with a defined pathway toward cross-training in prep and line roles, accompanied by increased compensation.

    Core Responsibilities

     

    Operate and maintain dishwashing equipment (commercial dish machine, sinks, sanitation systems)
    Ensure all dishes, cookware, utensils, and service items are cleaned and sanitized to health code standards
    Maintain a clean, organized dish pit and kitchen workspace
    Assist with trash removal, recycling, and general kitchen upkeep
    Support kitchen staff with basic tasks during high-volume periods (e.g., restocking, light prep assistance)
    Monitor cleaning supplies and report shortages

    Work Environment

    Fast-paced, high-volume kitchen during peak tourist season
    Physically demanding (standing for extended periods, lifting, exposure to heat and water)
    Team-oriented with close coordination between front and back of house

    Growth Path

    This role is designed to expand based on performance and interest:

    Prep Cook Training: Basic knife skills, ingredient prep, station setup
    Line Support: Exposure to service execution and ticket flow
    Flexible Role Progression: Transition into hybrid dish/prep or entry-level line positions
    Compensation increases tied to skill development and added responsibilities

     

    Qualifications

     

    No prior experience required, but kitchen experience is advantageous
    Ability to work efficiently under pressure
    Strong work ethic and reliability (critical for Wed–Sun schedule)
    Willingness to learn and take on additional responsibilities
    Team-oriented mindset

    Consistent and dependable during peak service windows
    Comfortable in physically demanding environments
    Interested in developing culinary or kitchen operations skills
